Maybelline Summer 2013 - Limited Edition Color Tattoos, Part 2!

It's been over a month since Maybelline's Summer limited edition first hit stores. I didn't think I'd be seeing the two new shades at all with how my search for the other LE shades went.

Well, my craziness has come full circle as I saw a fully stocked stand at my local Walgreens. Seriously! It was fully stocked with all six initial shades PLUS the two new ones!

I didn't think I'd be seeing these again! My precioussss...

I picked up Blue Paradise, but wasn't too interested in Precious Pearl (a light, cream color).

Check out this gorgeous blue hue!

I'm currently obsessed with blue and teal eyes. Though this one seemed similar to "Cool Crush" (more swatches here), I had to pick it up to swatch it in person.

"Blue Paradise" up close.

Swatches of "Cool Crush" vs "Blue Paradise"

It's hard to tell from just glancing at the outside of the pots, but once you take a closer look it's easy to see these are no dupes. "Cool Crush" is lighter, almost silvery when swatched. "Blue Paradise" does have some of that silvery effect, but it's got more of a blue, almost purple hue to it.

If you've been looking for the limited edition Maybelline Summer collection, head out to your local Walgreens because these are still out there!!

Did you manage to get your hands on the Limited Edition Color Tattoos? What do you think?

  3. You might really enjoy the yellow shade. I have an olive skintone, and I am in love with it. It has a wonderful green duochrome shift (it reminds me of the shift in Waves of White) that really comes out to play on my eyelids. IMO, it deserves more love than I think it's been getting from the bloggers out there. :)
