I was super excited to hear we would be receiving FULL-SIZE samples from Michelle Phan's new makeup line em. I love this lip balm's scent. It reminds me of cookies! Though it did throw me off a bit -- I was not expecting "Sorbet" to smell like cookies! The lip balm itself does not feel moisturizing, but is not drying either. It adds a nice, subtle sheen of tangerine, which is nice for those that want a slight pop of color.

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in "Hot Damn"

Is it weird that I'm a bit tired of red? I was so hoping that I'd receive a different color. Now that I've found a red lip I love, I'm not too interested in experimenting with more shades of red. This will be one to give away. 

Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer in "Caviar Cocktail"

I shouldn't have looked at the bag hints this month. I fell in love with the champagne shade of Nailtini's polish that was also being scent out. When I received this silver shade, I was so disappointed. I don't think I'll use this shade often, but I don't own a silver shade! So this will come in handy for nail ideas that require a silver tone. 

Pixi Beauty Bronzer in "Summertime"

This bronzer was initially another disappointment. I don't like receiving bronzer samples, because they are often the wrong shade for my skin. Here again, "Summertime" is too light to be used as a bronzer. Swatching it actually made me appreciate it in a different way. On my skin, it is a beautiful, subtle gold that I can see myself using as a very natural highlight or even for eye looks! I'm always looking for natural golds and this shade is PERFECT!

Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in "Amethyst"

This month's bag was very surprising! This eye pencil was another initial disappointment for me. I thought I'd received just another purple or plum eyeliner from ipsy. I was shocked when I opened the pencil cap and found that "Amethyst" is actually a silvery-purple liner. This would have gone so well with the champagne nail polish, haha! But really, this pencil is so nicely pigmented and glides smoothly across my skin. I love it!

HSI Professional Argan Oil

My hair has been on the dry side lately, despite everything I've been putting in it. I've never tried this before, so maybe it'll help! The smell is a bit medicinal inside the bottle, but I can deal with it if it'll make my hair shiny again!

The bag:

I loved this month's bag, although I wish the material felt a bit more durable. I can see this bag being used for a night out on New Years, but I'm afraid it'll be damaged!
